Discover the charm of Périgord Noir
Les Granges campsite at Grolejac is the perfect base from which to explore the Périgord region with its castles (Beynac, Monbazillac, les Milanes, etc.), caves and chasms (Lascaux, Padirac, Proumeyssac, etc.), and its typical villages (Sarlat, Domme, Rocamadour, etc.), not forgetting the local gastronomy. A paradise if you like truffles, ceps, foie gras, confit... and the wines of Bergerac, Bordeaux and Cahors.
From Grolejac, take a canoe or kayak down the Dordogne river. The excursion reveals some of Périgord's most beautiful sites.
The village is on the GR64 great hiking route, and the GR6 route is also close by. These hiking trails will take you on a journey through nature and history.
This historical and gastronomical gem is the ideal place to unwind. It is the town that boasts the highest concentration of listed buildings in France. Explore this medieval town and, at its heart, the traditional market where local producers gather twice a week.
A “sacred town” full of charm where houses and chapels compete for space at the foot of the castle and, much lower down, the Alzou river flows.
